| FIN 9783 Investment Analysis This MBA-level course analyzes different types of financial securities and investment strategies. We develop the principles of modern financial analysis in order to understand alternative security valuation models and cover the most important aspects of equity, debt and derivative markets.
![]() Topics will include: Contractual features of securities and their derivatives Risk and returns of broad asset classes Modern portfolio theory Capital Asset Pricing Model The term structure of interest rates Debt security valuation Equity security valuation Options and futures markets This course meets in the Trading Room of the Subotnick Center. Excel worksheets, various Reuters tools, Bloomberg, and special services such as First Call are used intensively throughout this course. Students are required to attend the Subotnick Centers Reuters I, Reuters II, and Bloomberg workshops early in the semester. |
